Health and Safety is an intrinsic part of the design, supply and installation of tensile fabric structures. Working alongsideCroner Consulting, Fabric Architecture operates the HSG65 Health & Safety Guidance System which allows us to constantly measure, monitor and review our Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Fabric Architecture follows CDM regulations, enabling us to develop designs through effective management of risk and plan safe systems of work for installation from the early stages of the design process.

As part of continuous improvement of Health & Safety procedures, we have successfully achieved accreditation withSAFEcontractor and the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme CHAS.

With all Design and Build projects and many Signature Structure projects, a site survey is carried out by a member of our installation team. The purpose of the survey is to establish safe access routes for delivery of materials and plant, how the installation will affect other trades and any attendances required from the site management. When required, the design will be developed or modified following a site survey, to avoid unnecessary risks posed by an awkward location.

Every project installation is assessed for risks and an assessment made to reduce and control those risks. The risk assessmentsaccompany a method statement; a document which outlines a safe system of work that is followed by our installation crews.
